The launch of Darkness Into Light in aid of Pieta House, proudly supported by Electric Ireland, took place in the stunning surrounds of Blackrock Cottage recently attended by Mayor of Galway City, Cllr Eddie Hoare, his wife Pam, and their beautiful daughter Harper.
This year, it will take place on Saturday, May 11th at 4:15am, where participants will walk into sunrise to raise vital funds for those affected by suicide.
People across the city and county are getting ready to take part in the soulful and heartfelt charity event that is Pieta’s Darkness Into Light 5k walk. Each year, the walk provides an opportunity for people to connect with their local community.
There are lots of ways to get involved. You can take part in a Darkness Into Light official walk, or you can create your own DIL Fundraiser by holding a bake sale, a car wash, a sponsored silence, a run, or a swim and fundraising with your family, friends and
colleagues in your local area.
