Sorry, I’ve always wanted to say that. Marty Morrissey brings his new variety show to Leisureland, featuring a star-studded line-up of Sharon Shannon, Cairde, Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan, The Galway Tenors, and comedian Bernard O’Shea. Choons are set to perform their dance floor classics and club hits at Monroe’s Live. Singer-songwriter Fiona Kennedy will celebrate the launch of her new album, ‘Find Me’, at the backstage bar.
Arctic Monkeys tribute band, Favourite Worst Nightmare, will be playing at Róisín Dubh. Tobi Kaye will be performing at The Skeff Late Bar, while An Taibhdhearc will host ‘Wáltsáil Abhaile,’ a surreal play about the life of the great Irish actor, director and theatre impressario Micheál Mac Liammoir.

RTÉ Broadcaster Marty Morrissey, affectionately mimicked by the likes of Mario Rosenstock and Oliver Callan as ‘I’m Marty …and I Like to Party’, is bringing his brand new variety show to Leisureland, Salthill, following sold out shows during the summer. Join Marty and guests for a night of music, chat, dance and laughter, with holidays and prizes to be won. Featuring Sharon Shannon, Donegal’s incredible Onoir, Ireland’s dancing sensation Cairde, Eurovision winners Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan, The Galway Tenors, and comedian Bernard O’Shea.
This show showcases what Marty is all about – it’ll be fun, loud, over-the-top, and it’s guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat! There will be glitz, glam and most importantly there will be false tan. 9pm: Dance Floor Classics and Club Hits with Choons at Monroe’s Live
Nostalgic fun-filled dance floor outfit Choons are bringing their club-thumping anthems to Monroe’s Live on Saturday, March 25th. It’s set to be a journey through pops greatest hits, from ‘80s classics to ‘90s dance mania and beyond with Eva LaViva, Ken-E West, Bill.I.Am, Mr Elliott and Pat Bull. Together, the five-piece are behind this live sensation. It’s not just top tunes and rocking beats, it’s the full dance experience. Choons will blitz through four decades of back-to-back hits at the award-winning venue on Dominick Street. Having played sold out shows across Ireland, now is the chance to witness the madness that is the Choons festival of sound. They’ve brought their rollicking theatrics to indoor and outdoor venues of all sizes, gaining a solid fan base with every event.

8pm: Singer-Songwriter Fiona Kennedy To Celebrate Launch of New Album at Monroe’s Live
With her highly anticipated album launch having sold out in advance in her native Cork, singer-songwriter Fiona Kennedy will showcase her latest work from ‘Find Me’ to a west of Ireland audience at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, March 25th. Her new album features eleven tracks in a sincere exploration of the human condition and her life’s journey. The IRMA award nominee has an ability to connect with her audience through her heartfelt lyrics and contemporary folk style. With powerful vocals and striking melodies, Fiona captivates listeners with her haunting and acoustic driven performances. Her vocal range is such that she is described by Jack O’Rourke as having a “glorious voice” – a mix between the powerhouses of Emmylou Harris and Chrissie Hinds.

House and Tech fans will enjoy the ultimate night at the iconic Hard Candy event downstairs at The Cellar Bar on Eglinton Street. Resident DJ Tatumba will be supported by Endrew and special guest Nei Fidelis. Hard Candy is all about that deep techy vibe. Previously having residency as a monthly event in the Factory/Electric, Hard Candy made memorable nights for many. 8pm: Favourite Worst Nightmare – Arctic Monkeys Tribute
Favourite Worst Nightmare are an Arctic Monkeys tribute band playing songs from all of their seven studio albums and more. Their sound and presence on stage mimics that of the Arctic Monkeys and is testament to their dedication to the work of the original band. Together, they recreate the Arctic Monkey’s experience, whether in Sheffield when the boys played in The Grapes pub back in 2003 or at Glastonbury on that special night in 2013. With a set of over 40 songs to choose from, they one of the hottest tribute bands out there.

Live Music with Tobi Kaye
The Galway based singer and composer brings a fresh twist to the pop genre thanks to his strong gospel, blues, and rock influences. His original works unleash a dark romanticised social commentary on life, love and war. Baring his heart on his sleeve and his soul through his lyrics, Tobi Kaye is a rare talent who is on the rise. Not to be missed at the Skeff this Saturday night.

8pm: Wáltsáil Abhaile: a surreal play about the life of the great Irish actor, director and theatre impressario Micheál Mac Liammoir. On a dark night, an aging Mac Liammoir stops for a ‘small pleasure.’ He is denied by a young Garda who safeguards him home… but there’s a storm coming. Presented as a theatrical multimedia fantasia, ‘Mac,’ in the autumn of his years, goes on a dreamlike journey that weaves in and out of time and place, reality and fantasy. Written by one of Ireland’s leading writers in the Irish language, this is an ode to theatre, and a heartfelt love song to one of Ireland’s theatre legends. This production is also a spiritual home-coming for Mac Liammoir; the first artistic director of An Taibhdhearc.
