An Affordable Stepping Stone to the World of the Barista:
Budding baristas who want to discover the art of coffee making, without committing to a full time course, will be delighted to learn of a new introductory class taking place this July at Brazco Coffee Academy on Francis Street.
Whether you are an at home enthusiast, or are interested in the global possibilities of the profession, this is the place for the complete novice, who loves their coffee and wants to learn more.
This unique entry level Barista Basics course will be run in the style of two hour bootcamps, where students can discover the key techniques required to create cappuccinos, lattes, espressos and so much more.
This introductory class will give participants an insight into the world of coffee, from bean to table, and is an opportunity to find out if you would like to delve further into barista training as a career.
This taster class is designed as a snapshot of the technical skill required to deliver exceptional coffee.
A Passion for Coffee:
With over 20 years’ experience in the field, Brazco Coffee Academy’s Linda Lydon has dedicated herself to the industry, continually upskilling in an ever changing profession.
Accredited by the world recognised SCA, she brings her wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role as trainer and founder of Brazco Coffee Academy.
A family run business, the mother-daughter team of Linda and Maureen Lydon started the Brazco Coffee Academy 18 years ago, and have five locations in Galway city and Oranmore.
And now, Linda is delighted to bring her skills to a new audience as she begins this Introduction to Barista Basics at their Francis Street location.
“Galway coffee culture is renowned internationally and I have been at the heart of it for the last 20 years,” says Linda.
“”Following a guest lecture I gave in University of Galway, I noticed a demand among students for a basic insight into barista skills. There are some excellent intensive courses available in Galway at the moment and these are a great investment for any aspiring barista.
“The demand I noticed was for an affordable stepping stone to these options and a taste of the fast paced, live performance reality of barista life”
“Barista training keeps evolving and I wanted to create a budget friendly introduction to coffee-making that is accessible to all.”
A Family Tradition:
Renowned for their welcoming atmosphere, coupled with traditional home baking, Brazco Coffee Academy has locations on Main Street, Oranmore; ‘Big Brazco’ in the Carraig Lair Shopping Centre, Oranmore and the Oranmore Community Centre, before bringing their cosy coffee house style to Leisureland, Salthill and Francis Street, Galway.
