Easter Delights in Salthill

Easter is set to delight in Salthill as April adventures draw the seaside resort ever closer to the summer season. With the promise of good weather on the horizon, this is the ideal location to while away the longer evenings on the world-famous promenade overlooking the shores of Galway Bay.

And with our sprinkling of April showers, there is so much on offer indoors to keep you entertained.  With a host of delicious eateries, from cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels to the leisurely pursuits offered by Seapoint, Leisureland and the Galway Atlantaquaria, Salthill is the perfect setting for all the family.

Easter is a time for reflection, and with it, a chance to spend quality time with those we love.  As a collection of over 60 local businesses, the Village Salthill is ready to welcome you, your friends and family to a feast of food and activities in stunning surrounds.

Purple Flag Award

For the first time, Salthill has been awarded the prestigious ‘Purple Flag’ with a presentation at a ceremony in Liverpool. The Purple Flag is an international accreditation programme that aims to reward those who create safe and thriving locations after dark.

As a family friendly destination, this recognition for night-time safety is testament to the sense of community in Salthill.

Looking Ahead to May Days

Following hot the heels of Easter weekend will be An Tóstal – Currach racing festival, along the prom– starting and finishing at Ladies Beach. Galway City council will also run a family funday on the Sunday. So save the dates: Keep May 6th and 7th May in your diary.
