An Tí is Where do Chroí is

A new community-based arts festival designed to explore possible solutions to the housing crisis will take place on Saturday, March 11th and Sunday, March 12th at the vibrant Club Áras na nGael on Dominick Street, located in the heart of Galway’s Westend. Féile Housing is a pioneering initiative designed to shine a light on generating creative answers to the housing shortage.

With the concept to ‘put the heart back into home’, it’s set to be an exciting weekend of free music, art exhibitions and talks, with all donations going to the Galway Simon Community.

DJ Will Softly and More:

Headliner DJ Will Softly will take part in the Saturday line up alongside the Galway Jam Circle and the local ukulele band, the Galway Ukers.  Not only that, but award-winning artists Lara Luxardi and Jennifer Cunningham will showcase their works. And there will be music circles, songwriting, panel discussions and an open mic.

The festival will culminate with a live concert featuring musicians Adrian Crowley, Brigid Mae Power, Peter Broderick and many more. Highlights include a pre-festival talk at Charlie Byrne’s Bookstore on March 5th at 6pm with housing policy expert Dr. Rory Hearne.

Social Change Through The Arts:

Féile Housing believes in the arts as a powerful vehicle for social change. This is an inclusive festival in which all cultures and ethnicities are welcomed and celebrated. Tá an fhéile seo ag tarlú mar chuid de Seachtain na Gaeilge agus beidh na hocáidí ar siúl trí mheán na Gaeilge agus Béarla.
