It’s time for the Village Salthill community to light up, as they switch on a special Christmas installation at Palmers Rock.  Mayor of the City, Cllr Clodagh Higgins, will perform the official honours at the event, taking place at 6pm on Friday, November 18th.

The festive lights are the first step towards a magical season for the Salthill community, brightening the darker evenings and bringing cheer to the shores of Galway Bay.  It’s set to be an evening to remember with goodies, craic, and the chance of fireworks if the weather is permitting.

Let the merriment begin, as the people and businesses behind The Village Salthill are pulling out the stops in the run up to Christmas.

Essentially, Salthill boasts a plethora of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and all budgets. Whether it’s a family lunch, special occasion or group night out there is a something for everyone. And there are indoor facilities galore.

From the Leisureland pool, gym and concert venue to the tales of the sea at the Atlantaquaria, lazy days at the Seapoint amusements, to the cinema and many retail outlets. Additionally, walking the prom and taking a dip in the Atlantic are even more refreshing as Salthill exudes a seasonal air.

Check www.salthill.com for a full list of venues and check directly with their social media and websites for exact details. Booking is strongly recommended at all restaurants for evenings.
