September Days in Salthill

What is it about Salthill that we love so much?  Is it lazy summer days spent by the sea, dipping our toes into the water? Is it slurping that ’99 around the bottom of the cone before it melts or browsing around the treasure trove of seaside shops and cafés? It’s difficult to pinpoint the appeal of Salthill.  But the magic is there. And it continues into September.

Children are making their way back to school after summer memories made. The debate rolls on as to whether we will have an Indian summer.  Rain or shine, there is something for everyone in Salthill.  While away an afternoon at Seapoint amusements, soak up the sea life at the Galway Atlantaquaria. Or take a turn at the famous Leisureland waterslide.  It’s all there waiting for you.

The Prom:

Stroll along the world-famous promenade or relax in one of the many restaurants, coffee shops and bars with striking views of Galway Bay. From light bites to international cuisine, Salthill has it all.  While the landscape may have changed over the decades, generations return time and time again to this landmark along the Wild Atlantic Way. And it’s the ideal gateway to Connemara.

From the rush of Curry’s Funpark to the calm of tranquil waters, from late nights out to the iconic Blackrock tower, Salthill is the place to be this September. With ample free parking and a choice of high end and budget accommodation, take time out in the Village Salthill as the Autumn rolls in.   We are here to welcome you.
